Kingsford Match Light Charcoal Briquettes light instantly* and heat flawlessly—no lighter fluid needed. Each briquet is infused with just the right amount of food-safe lighter fluid, which burns off completely, leaving only wood flavor. These charcoal briquettes light from the outside in with just a match, and the Sure Fire Grooves provide more edges for fast lighting.* Typically, you're ready to cook in about 10 minutes after lighting your charcoal grill. With no lighter fluid to pack, it's perfect for tailgates, camping and other on-the-go events. Kingsford Charcoal Briquettes are proudly made in the USA with North American ingredients and the same quality ingredients as Kingsford Original to deliver an authentic wood-fired barbecue flavor instantly. Stack Briquettes in a pyramid. Do not overfill your grill. Use about 4 lb. Light immediately.
Light charcoal. LEAVE GRILL UNCOVERED. Do not use lighter fluid or an electric or chimney-style starter. Stand back after lighting. Flames will die out.
Spread briquettes in a single layer when covered in ash (in about 10 minutes). Begin grilling. Always create a tight seal to close bag after each use. Store in a cool, dry place.
Warnings
Never use gasoline to light charcoal. Do not add lighter fluid directly to burning or hot charcoal. Make sure ashes are cold before discarding. CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD: Burning charcoal inside can kill you. It gives off carbon monoxide, which has no odor. NEVER burn charcoal inside homes, vehicles or tents. Barbecue away from flammable items, overhangs and trees. Store briquets in a cool, dry place.
