Instacart+ offers all members $0 delivery fees on eligible orders of $10 or more. You must meet the $10 order minimum for each retailer and on each order through Instacart. Additional fees, taxes, and tips may apply.

Instacart Business accounts get these additional Instacart+ benefits—

  • Share Instacart+ benefits with up to 4 additional business members (benefits shared may vary). The Instacart+ membership must be purchased on an Instacart Business account.
  • Instacart Business Owners can use their Instacart+ membership on both their Business and personal accounts if they have them
  • Get a 2% credit back on eligible orders over $250

Note, Instacart+ memberships purchased on Instacart Business accounts don’t include Family Sharing through a personal account.

Auto-assigning Instacart+

If your business has Instacart+ seats available to share, Instacart may automatically assign it to your most active team members as a one-time benefit. Activity is based on order volume over the past 12 months.

 

When this happens—

  • As the business Owner, you’ll receive an in-app notification and an email letting you know which team members received access.
  • Team members who receive access will get an email notification.

You can reassign or revoke any team member’s Instacart+ access at any time from the Team Members page. See Share Instacart+ benefits below for instructions.

 

Share Instacart+ benefits 

Businesses can share Instacart+ benefits, including $0 delivery fees on eligible orders over $10, with up to 4 additional business members. The 2% credit back benefit on eligible orders over $250 applies to the buyer’s account.

The account owner must have the Instacart+ membership. If the owner has an Instacart+ membership on their personal account, they can transfer it to their Business account.

Shared Instacart+ benefits are subject to the Shared Instacart+ terms. Available benefits may vary, see Instacart+ benefits for more details. 

Owners and Admins can assign Instacart+ access to existing or new team members.

To share Instacart+ benefits with an existing member on the website—

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Team members.
  3. Select the member.
  4. Select Assign seat or Revoke access to update a member’s access.

To share Instacart+ benefits with an existing member in-app—

  1. Tap the account icon at the top right corner.
  2. Tap Team members.
  3. Tap the member.
  4. Tap Assign seat or Revoke access to update a member’s access.

Members will get an email when access is granted or removed.

To share Instacart+ benefits with a new member on the website—

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Team members.
  3. Select Invite members.
  4. Enter the email address of the member(s) you want to invite.
    1. If multiple members, separate each email by a comma.
  5. After entering the members’ email addresses, enable the Assign seats toggle under the Instacart+ section.
  6. Select Send invites.

To share Instacart+ benefits with a new member in-app—

  1. Tap the account icon at the top right corner.
  2. Tap Team members.
  3. Tap Invite members at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap the role you’d like to assign.
  5. Enter the email address of the member(s) you want to invite.
    1. If multiple members, separate each email by a comma.
  6. After entering the members’ email addresses, enable the Assign seats toggle under the Instacart+ section.
  7. Tap Send invites.

Need more than 5 seats?

Business Instacart+ holders may share their subscription with up to 4 additional business members in their team in the base subscription. If you’d like to purchase additional seats or to learn more about other subscription tiers, contact business@instacart.com.

Transfer Owner’s membership to their Instacart Business account

Owners can transfer their Instacart+ membership from their personal to their Business account. Only Instacart+ memberships bought on the Instacart app or website are eligible for transfer. 

To transfer the membership on the website—

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Instacart+.
  3. Under Explore your benefits select Transfer membership.
  4. Add or select a payment method.
  5. Select Buy Now and complete the transfer.

Once transferred, the Instacart+ personal membership is canceled, your remaining days are added to the Instacart Business account, and you’re charged for a new one-year membership. The owner keeps the Instacart+ benefits on their personal account, except Family Sharing which isn’t available on Instacart Business.

2% Back on $250+ Orders

The 2% back credit on Instacart Business is an Instacart+ benefit for business accounts when users spend a minimum of $250 on a single eligible order. To be eligible, you need to: 

  • Be using an Instacart Business account
  • Have an active Instacart+ membership tied to that account (or have the membership shared with you)

The 2% credit back benefit on eligible orders over $250 applies to the buyer’s account.

Once granted, the 2% is issued as Instacart credit on the account’s promo/credit balance, visible in promo/credit history.

Access your Credit Back on the website—

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Credits, promos, and gift cards.
  3. View an itemized breakdown of your credits, available promotions, and credit history.

Access your Credit Back in-app—

  1. Tap the account icon at the top right corner.
  2. Tap Credits, promos, and gift cards.
  3. View an itemized breakdown of your credits, available promotions, and credit history.

Applied credit also appears on the checkout screen.
