Starting January 22, 2026, the Alabama Department of Human Resources will block out-of-state and online EBT transactions.
While blocks are active, EBT cards cannot be used outside of Alabama or online. Note, pickup orders are treated as an online order so these transactions will also be blocked.
To make a purchase using your EBT card online or outside of Alabama, you must unlock your card in the ConnectEBT app, on the ConnectEBT website, or by calling the EBT Customer Service phone number at 1-800-997-8888.
